Beefy Shotgun Wizards QuickShot Guide

In Beefy Shotgun Wizards you’re out of spells, but you aren’t out of shells. Take control of a magic-user who never skips leg day. Slaughter Dog Soldiers, Entropy Knights, & Pigmen, use hirelings as human shields, and loot anything that isn’t bolted down. Heavy on action and light on rules, blast your way through the Demon Mine of the Nine-Eyed Freak using a d6 dice pool and a Jenga Tower.

This version of the BSW QuickShot guide was created for BSW's public debut at GaryCon 2025 prior to its crowdfunding launch in late 2025. It starts from a simple premise, you are high level wizards who have run out of spells in the middle of the dungeon, but that is when the real fun begins. These wizards hit the iron as hard as they hit the books and they don’t need spells to slaughter their way through a dungeon.

This system was designed to provide players the full experience of crawling through a dungeon to defeat a boss monster in a single, three-hour session, complete with a tavern-wrap up where characters sell their loot for coin and bestow a wizardly title on the player who performed the most badass feats of metal in the dungeon.
